This gathering brings together many of the biggest names in tankers and allows participants to take the pulse of the market. Given the market’s current state, the mood was certainly more bearish this Bahri week than it was last year. Trump’s recent election was at the forefront of everyone’s mind, with many wondering about the potential impact of President-elect Trump’s promise to end the conflict in Gaza and the effect that this could have concerning the ongoing Houthi attacks on international shipping.
